When it comes to manufacturing products such as laptops, you can expect there to be some e-waste along with earth-destructive materials and some toxic chemicals used in the production process. Those at iameco (which wonderfully means “I am eco”) studied this process and decided to innovate production to ensure environmental sustainability thereby providing social impact.

They started with a touchscreen PC and moved on to manufacturing an eco-friendly wooden laptop that ticks all the boxes when it comes to sustainability. Not only are these laptops encased in recycled wood, but they are also free from harmful chemicals, fewer greenhouse gas emissions by 30%, re-using 70% of the material, and decrease of utilisation of fresh water by 75% when compared to most laptops available in the market.

Additionally, they have also developed a desktop model and other computer accessories that follow the same environmental principles as their laptop.
